This whisk is perfectly made and finished - not "finely," just perfectly. The wires are just the right thickness for the "scrubbing" motion one uses when deglazing a pan or browning a roux, and there are no warts or rough spots to annoy your hand over a long period of use. The wires are anchored and sealed in an epoxy resin, so no end grain wood is exposed to the food you're prepping. Although the manufacturer suggests hand washing the wooden-handled whisk, they do say that it will survive the dishwasher. It has a lifetime guarantee however you choose to wash it. If you like the feel of a wooden handle, and want pro-level construction, this is a good whisk.
Also interesting (to me, anyway) is that Best Manufacturer's whisks are manufactured in the US, in Portland Oregon. Global economic pressures being what they are, I'm happy to see an old-line manufacturer (they've been supplying commercial kitchens for decades) continue to keep production and jobs in the US, and continue to supply first-quality products at competitive prices. Bravo!
