I bought this for our kitchen last year on the recommendation of America's Test Kitchen. It is great. It does the job, cleans up easily and doesn't rust. I don't know how the wood handle would take to a dishwasher, so we wash it by hand. The wood handle is light enough that we can leave it in a bowl or pan and it doesn't tip out backwards like many stainless handled models. The balance is just right. I am buying their French whip next. The manufacturer is in the USA. I can highly recommend this item.
